WHAT CAN CAUSE RINGWORM?

Nail fungus is the effect of attacking a nail plate usually by dermatophytes, less often by fungi of the genus Cancida (yeast) or thrush. The infection is conducive to very many factors: wearing unbreathable footwear and socks (heat and moisture create the ideal environment for fungi), lack of proper hygiene, very dry skin or excessive sweating of the feet or weakened immune system. It can also be easily reached in public spaces such as the swimming pool and sauna.
People with diabetes, obesity, hormonal disorders or gastrointestinal issues are at risk of being infected with a particular infection.

DO NOT DELAY WITH TREATMENT

The nail plate attacked by the ringworm changes its color, on the edges of the nail often appear stains, first white, then yellow and brown. Nails are easy to crack, dissection, and at the same time they do get thicker. The plaque is degraded and mushrooms are gathered beneath the surface, which often cause an unpleasant smell of the foot. Ringworm can attack further nails, and accompanying symptoms will intensize and in effect can lead to inflammation, pain and redness. Fungal nail fungus never resolves spontaneously, so if you notice the first disturbing symptoms, you should report to a subologist.

WHEN TO GO TO A SUBOLOGIST?

Nail fungus is unfortunately not a way to fight alone, home methods. It is necessary to interfere with a specialist-a subologist who cleansers the nail plate and will affect its reconstruction. The experience and recommendations of the Subology show that, in addition to local or oral measures recommended by a dermatologist, it is also necessary to mechanically remove the fragment of the altered fungal nail plate. After finishing treatment, the fingernail should regain a healthy appearance, which should also be backed by research. Sometimes, however, the nail after therapy does not regain its normal appearance, is unsighted, discolour, grows slower and can be more susceptible to other infections.

FUNGAL NAIL FUNGUS IN ELDERLY PEOPLE

Treatment of nail fungus involves taking strong antibiotics orally. For older people, doctors do not recommend this treatment due to the high strain on the body of drugs. In Satin we know how to take care of nails to minimize the unpleasant consequences of nail fungus. For older people, we recommend regular visits to make their nails look aesthetically pleasing.

DEFINITION

Ringworm Nail is nothing other than a fungal infection in one or more of the nails.

It is called primarily by yeast, thrush and dermatophytes. This ailment can affect everyone, regardless of age. Most often, however, affects older people or those with weakened immunity. It is often confused with the problem of nails damaged by mechanical trauma. Some of the symptoms of nail fungus are the loss of natural, pink discoloration and brittleness.

DURATION OF THERAPY

In the case of ringworm nails, it is difficult to determine the exact duration of treatment. Typically, the treatment period spans several months. However, this depends on a number of factors m.in: rapid diagnosis of the problem and notification to the subcologist, conducting appropriate examinations, the type of infection and the patient’s systematic and conscientiity. Dermatological therapy should be conducted in parallel to regular visits to the Subological office. Visits should take place on average every 2-4 weeks. By regularly inspecting the subcologist and removing the affected part of the plaque, pharmacological therapy can produce better results while accelerating the treatment process.
